Policy overviews

Create awareness and initiate actions in CEDIS and personally with each collaborator to reduce environmental impact, with good practices in reducing energy consumption, optimizing resources in primary packaging and packing materials, recycling/reducing optimally, and contributing to programs that help reduce our carbon footprint. Maintain and continuously update an improvement plan, as well as monitor key performance indicators.

Scope

This policy applies to all employees of AC Logistics and its subsidiaries, including those working at headquarters, remote offices, and those stationed at third-party facilities (implant).

Development

  • GENERAL LAW ON ECOLOGICAL EQUILIBRIUM AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION: This is the framework law that establishes the guiding pillars of environmental policy in the country, and its purpose is to guarantee the human right that every person has to a healthy environment for their development and well-being, as established in Article 4° Constitutional, of which it is regulatory.

  • REGULATION OF THE GENERAL LAW ON ECOLOGICAL EQUILIBRIUM AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION REGARDING ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT: Its purpose is to regulate that public or private works or activities that affect or may affect the environment and natural resources are authorized and, if applicable, comply with the conditions set forth therein.

  • GENERAL LAW FOR THE PREVENTION AND COMPREHENSIVE MANAGEMENT OF WASTE AND ITS REGULATIONS: The purpose of these regulations is to prevent waste generation, achieve recovery, and ensure the comprehensive management of all types of waste, under the principles of shared responsibility and integrated management involving producers, importers, exporters, distributors, traders, consumers, and the government.

  • FEDERAL ENVIRONMENTAL LIABILITY LAW: This law regulates Article 4 of the Constitution and recognizes a type of liability distinct from civil, criminal, or administrative liability that arises from damage caused to the environment: environmental liability. It establishes that any individual or legal entity whose conduct (action or omission) directly or indirectly causes ecological damage must be held accountable. Environmental damage is defined as the loss, change, deterioration, impairment, adverse and measurable impact, or modification of habitats, ecosystems, natural elements and resources, chemical, physical, or biological conditions, the conditions of interaction among them, as well as the environmental services they provide.

  • Promoting the consumption of products that comply with legislation, the products used and consumed adhere to applicable norms and laws.
  • Compliance with local regulations and adherence to best practices ensure the proper execution of our practices and activities.
  • Assistance is provided to customers and suppliers in optimizing their supply chain by determining the most efficient type of logistics, unit capacity, and full loads for their projects.
  • Environmental compliance and culture campaigns are conducted with employees and suppliers to raise awareness and implement actions that reinforce basic principles.
  • Commitment to properly managing technological and highly polluting waste ensures the appropriate disposal of batteries,
    electronic waste, etc.
  • We take care to reduce and compensate our carbon footprint:
    • We optimize energy, water and fuel consumption.
    • We use more productive routes at maximum capacity.
    • We promote waste reduction and facilitate recycling.
  • Minimum configuration in packaging with correct and optimal use of materials to avoid generating excessive waste. We optimize techniques for the best materials performance.

  • Participate in reforestation programs. We support organizations that comply with all guidelines for safe management.
  • We focus on a policy of continuous improvement by applying the 3R's plan.

  • Managing our waste responsibly. Knowing that waste is handled correctly and reaches the correct destination for transformation or destruction.

Note

This policy shall be communicated and followed by all employees and reviewed periodically to adapt it to the organization's current situation.
